Route Description for Ramsden Reservoir Circular Walk
Walking the Ramsden Reservoir Circular Walk is a great family-friendly experience near Holmfirth that will allow you to experience some of the beautiful terrain that can be found along the edge of the Peak District. Setting out from the car park, follow Brownhill Lane to the south to pass through the tranquil forest and arrive at the edge of Riding Wood Reservoir. Walk southwest along the edge of the water and cut through the forest, before turning north towards Ramsden Reservoir. Reaching the edge of the water at the foot of Netherley Brow, follow the edge of the reservoir and enjoy the charming views of the woodland terrain on the way to the dam wall. Traverse the dam and follow the road south to make your way back to the car park where you began.

Getting to the Ramsden Reservoir Circular Walk Trailhead
To reach the car park for the Ramsden Reservoir Walk from Holmfirth, drive southwest on Huddersfield Road for 1.7mi and make a slight left onto Bank Lane. Follow this for 235ft and turn right to continue on for another 0.1mi. Keep right for 0.7mi, where you will find the car park on the left.Route Information
