Not only is the Peveril Castle Walk a great short distance family walk, but it is also perfectly suited for those that have a keen interest in history. The trail sets out from the side of the road and climbs uphill along a switchback path to arrive at the site of a walled castle complex that dates back to the era of the Norman Conquest.
