Route Description for Owler Tor Walk
While it may be a short journey, the Owler Tor Walk is a fun, family-friendly adventure that will get you out exploring the natural beauty of the rugged moors and woodland terrain that can be found within the boundaries of the Peak District. Setting out from the car park, the trail heads west for some nice views overlooking the Derwent Valley before turning south through the forests that line the slopes of the hill. From here, you will traverse the rugged terrain atop Bole Hill and descend the hillside towards Burbage Brook. After walking along the water’s edge, you will eventually climb back uphill to summit Owler Tor before arriving back at the car park where you began the walk.

Getting to the Owler Tor Walk Trailhead
To reach the car park for the Owler Tor Walk from Hathersage, head east on Main Road/A6187 for 1.9mi to find the car park on the left.Route Information
