Route Description for Nether Tor Walk
Even with the challenging terrain, the Nether Tor Walk is a spectacular adventure in the Peak District due to the breathtaking views that you will experience from this hilltop perch above the Edale Valley. Setting out from the car park in Edale, the trail follows along the road towards Grindsbrook Booth, before passing through the forest to cross over the brook. From here, you will begin the uphill slog along Grindslow Clough that will bring you up above the valley near Grindslow Knoll. Traversing the hilltop to the east, you will soon make your way over the rocky terrain of both Upper Tor and Nether Tor while experiencing amazing views looking down on the villages that dot the farmland of the Edale Valley below. After taking in the sights, continue east for a short distance before turning south on a descent of the hillside that will bring you down to the village where you started your journey.
