Route Description for Digley and Goodbent Lodge Walk
Walking the Digley & Goodbent Lodge Walk is a great outdoor experience if you are looking to get off the beaten path and explore the charming woodlands and moors that can be found on the edge of the Peak District. The trail sets out from the car park and heads west through a beautiful stretch of forest along the northern edge of Digley Reservoir. After passing by the reservoir, continue west along Marsden Clough, eventually turning south to cross over the stream. From here, you will traverse the rugged terrain of the moor and cross over Hey Clough before following Issues Road to the east. Once you reach the edge of the village of Hulme, turn north and pass through the open farmland terrain to arrive at the dam wall between the Digley and Bilberry reservoirs. Walk across the dam wall and turn right to head back through the tranquil forest on the return to the car park.
