Route Description for Derwent Moors Circular Walk
Although the journey into the trailhead requires you to travel on foot for an extra 0.8 km, once you are on the Derwent Moors Circular Trail you will be inundated with spectacular views that sweep across the Peak District. Setting out from the trailhead, the path heads west along the rugged terrain of the moor and climbs uphill until you arrive at Derwent Edge. From this elevated lookout, you will have some amazing views overlooking the Upper Derwent Valley and the Ladybower Reservoir Below. From here, descend the hillside to the southwest and follow the trail as it turns east to travel through Ladybower wood. Then, you will climb uphill along Ladybower Brook until you arrive back at the trailhead where you began the walk.
