Route Description for Bottoms to Torside Reservoir Walk
With a nice mix of flat trails along the water’s edge and uphill climbing across the moor, the Bottoms to Torside Reservoir Walk is a great route that can offer something for every type of walker. Setting out from the car park in Tintwistle, head south to cross the River Etherow before turning east to walk along the edge of the water. After making your way along the Bottoms, Valehouse, Rhodeswood, and Torside reservoirs, follow the trail north as it climbs uphill across the moor. After taking in the elevated views overlooking the valley, make your descent through the trees and pass through Valehouse Wood on the return journey to the car park where you began.

To reach the car park for the Bottoms to Torside Reservoir Walk from Hollingworth, drive northeast on Market Street/A628 for 1.1mi and turn right onto New Road. After 180ft, turn left to arrive at the car park.Route Information
