Route Description for Bleaklow Head via Pennine Way
Although the route is a bit rugged, the walk to Bleaklow Head via the Pennine Way is a fun adventure that will produce some amazing views over the desolate terrain of the moor and the rest of the scenic Peak District further afield. Setting out from the trailhead, the route heads to the west, before turning north on a route that cuts across the moor. The terrain here can be very boggy, so stick to the path if you want to keep your feet remotely dry. After travelling past the High Shelf Stones on your left, you will eventually make the short ascent of Bleaklow Head. Enjoy the amazing views of the surrounding terrain as you continue past the hill for a stretch before retracing your steps along the same route to return to the car park.
