Route Description for Barber Booth and Edale Head Walk
The Barber Booth and Edale Head Trail in Peak District National Park is a great walking circuit that will expose you to a variety of terrain including open tracts of farmlands, rugged moors, undulating hills, and peaceful riverside settings. The route partially passes through Kinder Scout National Nature Reserve, meaning you will likely see some increased foot traffic. Be sure to arrive early to secure parking.
Setting out from the car park, the trailhead is to the northwest and crosses over the River Noe to pass by Upper Booth Farm. After making your way through the valley along Crowden Brook, you will turn west to climb uphill through the moor and enter into Kinder Scout NNR. Take in the breathtaking views that stretch across Hope Valley to The Great Ridge, as you make your way south along the moor to eventually descend the hillside. From here, you will cut across picturesque fields until you arrive back at the car park where you began the walk.
