Route Description for Secesh Hot Springs Hike
Head out into the fresh air and reconnect with nature on the Secesh Hot Springs Hike. This route is hard to beat with the added bonus of natural hot springs at the trail’s culmination. Explore lush woodlands and meadows abundant with a diversity of flora and fauna along the way. While this exact hike is not highly trafficked, many hike a fragment of this trail when completing the revered Loon Lake Loop, so expect company on the initial portion of this adventure.
With water and bug spray in tow, your journey along the Secesh Hot Springs Hike follows the Secesh River Trail, heading southwardly. Hiking into the river valley, you will be bound by towering pines, spruce, and the odd aspen grove. Enjoy the shade of the lush tree canopy and the sounds of the gurgling water as you navigate the undulating route. After some hiking, you will eventually encounter an intersection, keep left here and begin tracking the more primitive trail towards the hot springs.
Following the overgrown and more secluded path along the riverbanks, you will ultimately reach the springs. Indulge in the natural spa along the Secesh River and revel in the scenery. When ready to head back, simply retrace your footing back to the trailhead.
