Route Description for Blue Mountain Trail
When it comes to high reward for low effort, Blue Mountain Trail might have all the others beat. This hike is less than half a mile long with only 40 m of elevation gain to handle. It’s very pretty, with a panoramic view of the Olympic Mountains all around you. For a quick outing with kids or a cooldown hike, it’s a perfect selection. We recommend going clockwise to end with the best views.
From the trailhead, take the route on your left and meander along the easy-to-follow path, making your way over to the stellar viewpoint past the midway point of the loop. The views all around are great, especially on a clear day! Linger wherever you like as it’s an extremely short walk to arrive back where you started.
