Route Description for Slaley Forest Circular Walk
For those outdoor enthusiasts that don’t need to be inundated with breathtaking vistas or cultural highlights, the Slaley Forest Circular Walk is a great option to get outside and lose yourself in the beauty of the natural world.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast along the edge of the forest, following the trail as it bends more to the east and enters the dense tree cover. Here, you will be able to roam through the tranquil woodland setting while traversing wide paths that are often used by walkers, trailrunners, and mountain bikers.
After reaching the southeast corner of the trail, you will loop around to the northeast on the return leg of the walk. Continue taking your time here, as you relax among the trees and wildlife while forgetting about the world outside the forest. Eventually, you will exit the tree cover and arrive back at the trailhead having completed the Slaley Forest Circular Walk.
