Route Description for Norham Circular Walk
If you find yourself in the beautiful county of Northumberland and are after a quick and easy walking route along the winding River Tweed, then the Norham Circular Walk will be the perfect route for you. Featuring easy to traverse terrain and a charming village, this walk is perfectly suited for the whole family.
Setting out from the trailhead in the heart of Norham, you will make your way to the southwest along West Street to leave the village behind, traversing the countryside o n the way to the banks of the River Tweed.
Arriving at the banks of the river, you will head to the northeast along the water’s edge, enjoying the lovely views across the border to the lands of Scotland on the opposite bank. Eventually, the trail will turn to the south and pass through the farmland, entering back into the village where you can pop into the Masons Arms for a quick post-walk pint.
