Route Description for Torr Head Walk
If you are after breathtaking seaside views that require little in the way of effort to experience, then you should definitely add the Torr Head Walk to your list. This stunning route will take you uphill along a headland to experience some of the most beautiful scenery that Northern Ireland has to offer, the only downside is that the trail just isn’t long enough!
Setting out from the Torr Head car park, you will head to the northeast and begin climbing up the grassy hillside. Once you reach the top, you will arrive at the ruins of the 6th Century Altagore Cashel and be greeted with sweeping views along the wild and rugged coast. On a clear day, you can even spot the coast of Scotland 19.3 km away. After taking in the beautiful views, simply head back down the same trail and retrace your steps to the car park.
