Setting out from the car park, you will pass by the beautiful Killynether Gardens and make your way to the northeast, climbing uphill through the peaceful expanse of Killynether Wood. After passing by the clubhouse for the golf course, you will continue on to the northeast towards Scrabo Tower.
Reaching the summit of the hill, take some time to explore the area around the 19th Century lookout tower, before taking in the amazing views that sweep across the landscape and include the waters of Strangford Lough to the southeast. After taking in the views, you will retrace your steps along the trail to pass back through the forest on the return to the car park.
