Route Description for Redburn Country Park Circular Walk
Featuring peaceful swathes of woodland landscape, steep hillside terrain, and pleasant views of the surrounding countryside, the Redburn Country Park Circular Walk is a popular trail for walkers of all varieties, but particularly outdoor enthusiasts that are looking to get their heartrate up.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the northeast and enter into the dense tree cover, keeping right along the trail as you climb up the steep hillside to reach the highpoint of the walk. Here, you will enjoy some amazing views that extend to Belfast Harbour, before continuing along the path to reach the northeasternmost point of the route.
From here, you will follow the trail as it bends to the southwest and descends the hillside, taking you through the tranquil forest on the return leg of the journey. Eventually, you will meet back up with the stretch of trail that you had initially used to make your way uphill. Keep right here and follow the path, as it will lead you right back to the car park.
