Route Description for Peace Bridge and Foyle Bridge Walk
If you are looking to take a relaxing stroll along the water’s edge and experience some of the best sightseeing in Londonderry, then you should definitely check out the Peace Bridge and Foyle Bridge Walk.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will head southwest through Ebrington Square, crossing over the Peace Bridge in order to arrive at the edge of the historic city centre with its striking walled fortifications. From here, you will make your way north along the banks of the River Foyle to reach Bay Road Park.
Shortly after passing through the park, you will head to the right and cross over Foyle Bridge while enjoying some beautiful views across the river. Once you have reached the east bank, you will make your way to the southwest, passing through St Columb’s Park on the return to the starting point of your walk.
