Route Description for Dundrum Coastal Path
If you enjoy taking relaxing strolls along the coast instead of challenging walks through the mountains, then you will certainly enjoy the Dundrum Coastal Walk. This easy-going adventure begins in a charming village and will lead you through grasslands, woodlands, and along the edge of the water, making good use of the scenic views and easy to navigate terrain in the area.
Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the northeast along the edge of the marsh to traverse the grassland path along the water’s edge. Eventually, you will work your way through a small expanse of woodland terrain, before crossing a section of trail that is surrounded by the saltmarsh on either side.
Shortly after this, you will come to the terminus of the trail near the northernmost point of the estuary. From here, simply turn back along the trail to relieve the beautiful views from the opposite perspective, as you make your way back to the trailhead where you started.
