If you are after a relaxing countryside stroll through the North York Moors that will produce beautiful views without a great deal of effort, then you will certainly enjoy the Grosmont and Beck Hole Circular Walk. There are a few steady climbs and one steep one after visiting Beck Hole; however, the route is perfectly suited for beginner walkers.
Setting out from the trailhead in Grosmont, you will make your way to the southwest and pass by the old railway sheds, following along the winding banks of Murk Esk as you travel through the Esk Valley. Take some time to appreciate the beautiful views of the countryside, as you gradually climb uphill towards Beck Hole, where you will find the Birch Hall Inn.
From here, you will traverse the lone steep slope on this walk, climbing uphill across the open fields that border the edge of the moor. Enjoy the lovely views of the surrounding landscape, as you continue on to the north to eventually make your way back into Grosmont where you began the walk.

To get to the trailhead for the Grosmont and Beck Hole Circular Walk from Sleights, head southwest on Eskdaleside for 2.4mi and make a right onto Front Street. Follow this for 0.4mi, where you will find the trailhead on the left.Route Information
