Route Description for Old Mills Trail
Hiking the Old Mills Trail is a quick way to get some good exercise in and experience the well-maintained trails and breathtaking scenery that can be found in the landscape of the North Thompson Valley. The trail sets out from the parking area and initially heads north along the road before branching off to the west on a route through the forest. From here, hikers will need to work their way uphill under the shade of the forest canopy and cross over several mountain streams to reach the viewpoint overlooking Heffley Lake and the heavily wooded valley. After taking in the scenic views, make your way back down the same route to return to the trailhead where you began.
