Route Description for Pateley Bridge Walk
The Pateley Bridge Walk is a beautiful stroll that can be enjoyed in two parts if you want to take a break at the refreshment stop at Pateley Bridge. Beginning at the riverside marked for Pateley Bridge in Glasshouses, follow the path and pass a fishing lake. You will continue to follow along the river for the first part of this walk and will pass through a gate and arrive at the Wildings Tea Room and Terraces. Here, you can stop for a refreshment or carry on with the walk.
Continue to the bridge and cross the River Nidd, and you will see the Royal Oak pub, follow the signs to the footpath that is right in front of the Park View Stores. You will now be walking along the Industrial Heritage Trail heading uphill. You will continue along this path, following the markers and pass through multiple gates to get to Pateley Bridge. You will be able to see amazing views of the Dales from this area of the walk, and you will again have to navigate some gates in this area. You will then come across a footbridge, where there will be a small stream that is great for paddling, and as you stroll along the path, you will come across a caravan park, continue through the metal gate and follow a tarmac road through the caravan park.
