Route Description for Fish Creek Trail
Indulge yourself in Idaho’s unspoiled backcountry along the Fish Creek Hike. This beautiful route is popular amongst hikers and fishermen alike—as it should be! Spend the day wandering along the creekside before trying your hand at some fishing in the fast-moving creek. Boasting great views of the forested landscape, much of this path is exposed to the elements, so dress accordingly and wear SPF! Also, note that this route is overgrown, so wear long pants and consider using the trail GPS to navigate the route easily.
Embark on your journey from the trailhead off Fish Creek Road. From here, the trail travels northwardly into the wilderness. Gradually climbing, the scenic route will weave between areas of dense tree coverage and open meadows. Enjoy the scene of the picturesque creek below and the encompassing woodlands. After some hiking, the route will intersect with a few creeks, including a footbridge over Willow Creek.
From here, the path will divert into the woodlands, away from the creek. You will ultimately reach the route’s end at an intersection with yet another stream. Turn around and simply retrace your footing back to the trailhead.
