Route Description for Linwood Bottom to Appleslade Inclosure Walk
New Forest National Park’s Linwood Bottom to Appleslade Inclosure Walk makes for a fantastic adventure if you’re seeking varied scenery and a gentle elevation gain. Setting out from Linford Bottom car park, you’ll start this circuit by walking across the parking lot, away from the entrance, to immerse in a forest setting. The path will eventually veer to Castle Piece Hillfort. However, this is a small hillfort, so you may not even notice it at first glimpse! Next, continue winding through the forest sprawled below Linwood to reach the Applesade Inclosure. After, the path will hug the treeline, but you’ll walk through more open areas. When the forest nears an end, go left to head back to your car. If you end up at Great Linford Cottage, you’ve veered off the path, but you can continue circling to connect to a track that leads to the car park—this will add some additional minutes to your adventure.
