The Brockenhurst, Roundhill and Lymington River Hike takes place in a dreamy woodland setting carved by the lovely Lymington River. The wild animals that sometimes pop up along this walk may surprise you as they can range from deer to wild pigs! On a different note, Balmer Lawn near Brockenhurst makes for a fun wild swimming spot; make sure you know your river swimming safety tips before hopping in the water.

Route Description for Brockenhurst, Roundhill and Lymington River Walk

The Brockenhurst, Roundhill and Lymington River Walk immerses you in a dreamy, whimsical forest setting that takes you along Lymington River! From the Tilery Road Car Park, you’ll walk back toward the road, taking a left (with your back towards your car). Follow the same road, and once you’re past the Pignallhill Inclosure, which is slightly off the trail to your right, take a right to head into the forest. At the intersection, keep straight to start your loop in the woods! Continue making your around the loop until you reach Pignal Hill—this signals the end of the loop. Take a left at the intersection to go back the way you came, walking toward the nearby Pignallhill Inclosure, which should now be on your left. Continue straight as you make your way back to your car!
