Route Description for Holland Creek Trail
Although the Holland Creek Trail can be a bit wet in certain areas due to its proximity to the water, the route is definitely one that you won't want to miss because of its beautiful scenery. The route sets out from the trailhead off Dogwood Drive and heads west into the thick cover of the forest. As you follow along the southern edge of Holland Creek, you will pass by mature, moss-covered trees and countless ferns that fill the vibrant green forest with a wonderful atmosphere.
Eventually, the trail will turn to the south before crossing over the creek to take you along its north side for the return part of the journey. This last stretch requires a bit of light climbing over some rocky terrain; however, this is more than manageable for hikers of most skill levels. After winding through the forest alongside the rushing creek and crossing over it a few more times, you will arrive back at the trailhead where you started your hike.
