Route Description for Eagle Knoll Trail
Hiking along the Eagle Knoll Trail is a fairly quick affair that sets out from the parking area just off of the Meadows in the Sky Parkway and traverses some easy terrain on the way to a viewpoint overlooking the city. From here, hikers will be able to look out over the valley below and spot the dam, as well as Lake Revelstoke stretching out to the north and a plethora of mountains framing the backdrop. After taking in the sights, make your way back along the trail as it passes through the scenic alpine landscape. If you time your hike for the late summer, you will be able to witness the beautiful wildflowers in full bloom.
The easy nature of this hike and the proximity to other trails within the park make this a great day-hike option for families and casual hikers that are looking to explore the beauty of Mount Revelstoke National Park without the commitment of some of its longer and more physically demanding routes.
