Route Description for Faraway Rock via Reflection Lakes Hike
The hike to Faraway Rock via Mazama Ridge Trail is an easy add-on to a trip to Reflection Lakes. While the trail can hold onto snow awhile, it’s family-friendly when dry and easy to connect with other trails in the area for a longer trip. Enjoy great views of Mount Rainier!
The trail begins from the smaller Reflection Lake, briefly following Wonderland Trail. At the junction, stay left onto Mazama Ridge Trail, crossing Sunbeam Peak shortly after. Follow this trail over another crossing and as it leans to the east to Faraway Rock.
Getting to the Faraway Rock via Reflection Lakes Hike Trailhead
This hike begins from Reflection Lakes along Stevens Canyon Road. The trailhead is at the smaller lake, so we recommend parking at the furthest east lot and walking along the roadside a short distance to the trailhead.Route Information
