Route Description for Dirty Harry’s Balcony via Little Balcony
Most hikers use Birdhouse Trail to access Dirty Harry’s Balcony, but this less-travelled route offers more solitude, more adventure, and great views for a similar level of effort. The only potential downside is that this trail is a bit less obvious and well-kept, so you’ll want GPS to follow just in case.
The trail begins at the Ira Spring Trailhead. You’ll follow the Ira Spring Trail to where it connects with Putrid Pete’s Peak Trail. Go onto Pete’s here (stay straight). Where the trail begins to switchback, head up the incline, then stay straight at the next junction.
Now on the Ira Spring Connector, traverse to Little Balcony. Rest at this viewpoint before continuing northwest to the point where the trail drops south to the balcony. Gaze over Snoqualmie Pass here before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
