Route Description for Nub Peak from Assiniboine Lodge Hike
The hike to Nub Peak from Assiniboine Lodge is a popular route in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park thanks to its breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and relatively low amount of effort required to reach the summit. While out on the trail, you will leave the Assiniboine Lodge behind and make your way to the northwest through stretches of meadow and forest before climbing uphill to traverse the Niblet. After taking in the spectacular views of Mount Assiniboine to the south, continue your climb uphill to the northwest, traversing the ridge above Elizabeth Lake on the way to the summit of Nub Peak. Once there, you will receive stunning panoramic views that sweep across the rugged landscape of the park. From here, retrace your steps down the ridge to make your way back to the trailhead where you began your adventure.
Getting to the Nub Peak from Assiniboine Lodge Hike Trailhead
A remote destination with no access roads, Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park can only be reached by backpacking from the Mount Shark and Sunshine Village trailheads or by hired helicopter.Route Information
