Setting out from the Lake Magog Campground, follow the trail as it leads you through the peaceful forests to the northwest, eventually taking you along the charming shores of both the Sunburst and Cerulean lakes. From here, you will begin to climb up the hillside and cross over a small creek before the trail bends to the east towards the Niblet. Upon exiting the tree cover and arriving at the exposed summit, you will receive some stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountain peaks, including Sunburst Peak and the majestic Mount Assiniboine to the south. After revelling in the views, retrace your steps along the trail to relive the natural beauty of the trail on the return to the campground.
Getting to the Lake Magog Campground to the Niblet Hike Trailhead
As a remote park with no access roads, the only way into Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park is through backpacking or a helicopter ride. If you are choosing the former option, you can utilize the Mount Shark and Sunshine Village trailheads.Route Information
