Route Description for Landscape Arch Trail
The hike to Landscape arch is an easy, out-and-back trail that is fun for the whole family. Due to rockfall, you can no longer go up to the actual arch itself; however, there are fantastic views from the trail. This trail has very little shade, so make sure you bring lots of water, sunblock, and a good sunhat for everyone in your group.
The Landscape Arch trail is a great option for families, young kids, or folks with mobility issues to get out and see one of the wonders of Arches National Park. This trail is very well maintained, relatively flat, and visits some of the most iconic scenery in Arches. Don’t forget to bring a camera with you—the Landscape Arch is a wonder to behold.
From the Devil’s Garden Trailhead, follow the well defined path northwest. The trail will divide at two points before you reach the Landscape Arch viewpoints. To stay on track to the Landscape arch, just stick left. Just 1.4 km down the trail there are two official viewpoints with excellent views of the arch itself.
Stop at one of the viewpoints and soak in the glory of this natural wonder. If you are looking for a longer day, you can continue down the trail to other fantastic sights including the Black Arch, Navajo Arch, and Double O Arch. If you are ready to call it a day, just turn around and follow the path back to the trailhead.

No, the Landscape Arch has not collapsed… yet. In 1991 a large slab of rock fell from the arch and the arch, being sandstone, continues to change and erode over time. As of 2021, the Landscape Arch is still standing.
