Route Description for Rose Valley Falls Hike

Those seeking a short, easy-going outdoor adventure near Ojai, California, will enjoy this route. Explore the area’s native flora and fauna while traveling along a gurgling creek to the charming cascades. Hikers of all ages and skill levels can enjoy this stunning nature walk. Note the rocks that bound the waterfall and creek are slippery, so mind your footing as you explore. Additionally, this cascade tends to parch in the dry season—so as to not disappoint you.

Embark on your adventure along the Rose Valley Falls Trail from the trailhead in the Rose Valley Falls Campground. Setting out from here, you will be guided south through an exposed meadow of chaparral shrubs before entering the woodlands. Now mostly shaded, the undulating route will ascend along the gurgling waters of Rose Valley Creek. Enjoy the soothing sounds and the beautiful scenery, and the path will ultimately open to the Rose Valley Falls.

Carefully explore the base of the falls, reveling in the charm of the small chute. After admiring the mesmerizing cascade, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
