Route Description for San Vicente Mountain Hike

If you are in the L.A. area and want to experience a bit of a longer hike with some truly stunning views, then you will want to check out the San Vicente Mountain Hike.

Setting out from the trailhead at the end of Mulholland Drive, you will make your way to the west to climb uphill to the summit of San Vicente Mountain. Here, you will pass by the old Nike Missile Defence Base, before continuing on to the west.

Eventually, you will arrive at a point where the Sullivan Fire Road branches off to the left; take this and follow it south across the undulating landscape. The remainder of the hike will be a straight walk along the ridge, so take your time and soak up the incredible views overlooking Los Angeles and the surrounding area. When you have reached the junction with Josepho Road, simply turn back and retrace your steps to the trailhead.
