Route Description for Mount Hollywood Trail
Featuring scenic views overlooking Los Angeles and terrain that is suitable for all ages and skill levels, the Mount Hollywood Trail is perfect if you are looking to spend a few hours outdoors without leaving the city.
Setting out from the parking lot, you will make your way south along the Fern Canyon Nature Trail in order to reach the Vista Viewpoint. After taking in some beautifully scenic city views, the trail will continue to the northwest across the summit of Glendale Peak and eventually Mount Hollywood.
Turning north along the aptly named North Trail, you will pass by Taco Peak toward the northeast, before turning south past Bee Rock and the enclosures of the old Griffith Park Zoo. Eventually, you will arrive back at the parking lot where you started your excursion.
