The Betty B Dearing Mountain Trail is a fantastic hiking route in close proximity to Los Angeles that features plenty of shade and beautifully scenic views.
Setting out from the trailhead near the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook, you will begin climbing uphill along the winding path before it bends to the northwest. Here, you will traverse the undulating terrain of Fryman Canyon Park and enjoy some beautifully scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
Eventually, you will enter Coldwater Canyon Park and arrive at the Joyce Lipkis Garden. After exploring the area, simply head back along the same path to return to the trailhead where you began.
