Route Description for Ardgartan Lochside and Riverside Circular Walk
The Ardgartan Lochside and Riverside Circular Walk is a wonderful, family-friendly stroll in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, in a serene setting with plenty to see. The waymarked trail is straightforward and easy to follow, making this an accessible walk for all ages and skill levels.
The route is waymarked in blue, and you’ll begin the walk from the Argarten Visit Center, heading on a gently undulating path towards the enchanting woodlands. You’ll soon reach the lovely shores of Loch Long, granting you gorgeous views over the water. Passing a boathouse, you can opt to stop on the small beach found nearby for a picnic along the way, or just to give the little ones a nice break! A bridge crossing is followed by a meandering path through woodlands to soon join a track alongside the Croe Water. Continue to follow the blue waymarked path to complete the circular route and return to the car park where the walk began.

To get to the Ardgartan Lochside and Riverside Circular Walk from Arrochar, take the A83 north towards the A814, continuing for 2.9mi. Turn left, and then another left to enter the Ardgartan Visitor Center car park, where the walk begins.Route Information
