Route Description for Allt Robuic Waterfalls Walk
The Allt Robuic Waterfalls Walk unfolds in the tiny hamlet of Glenbranter in the enchanting Argyll Forest Park. The forest trail to the waterfalls is waymarked in yellow, and although the trail is suitable for children, the uneven forest ground makes it not as feasible for buggies.
The walk begins from the car park, heading up some steps before continuing onto a forest track. You’ll note an info board along the way, where you can brush up on some handy knowledge of the lichens and mosses that flourish in these particular woodlands. Spot the signpost, which leads you to a neat wildlife hub, where feeders are in place, and friendly red squirrels can often be found scurrying and enjoying a bite. The path soon leads to the gorge, inviting you to walk along its lush flanks, and later some footbridges leading down to the falls. Wooden steps lead to the floor of the gorge, where you’ll snag the best views of the cascading falls. Enjoy the peaceful setting that will have you feeling as though you’ve been whisked off to somewhere far away, then continue the waymarked trail past some cottages and the grand Glenbranter house to complete the walk, returning to the car park where you began.
