Route Description for Juniper Lake Loop Trail
Depending on the time of year you plan on doing the Juniper Lake Loop Trail, the mosquitoes along the route can become rather prolific. We recommend bringing bug repellent and wearing both pants and long sleeves to help protect you from the pesky bugs, especially during spring!
Having parked your vehicle, follow Juniper Lake To Butte Lake Trail as it makes its way northeast. The route will continue on a steady incline as it delivers you to a junction within the trail. At the junction, stay on the Juniper Lake To Butte Lake Trail as it continues north and do the same at the upcoming junction. The route will cross several creeks before veering south onto the Grassy Creek Trail.
The Grassy Creek Trail will continue on its southern heading, traveling adjacent to the western shore of Grassy Creek as it goes. Once you have arrived at the eastern shore of Horseshoe Lake, the Grassy Creek Trail will arrive at a junction, where you are to take Horseshoe Lake Trail to the east. Stay on Horseshoe Lake Trail as it brings you all the way back to the trailhead and your waiting vehicle.
