Embark on your adventure along the Big Meadow to Round Lake Hike from the Tahoe Rim Trailhead off the Old Luther Pass Highway. Setting out from here, hikers will follow the Tahoe Rim Trail over the Luther Pass Road, along Big Meadow Creek, and through the namesake’s meadow. Gradually climbing, you will enter the shaded by mixed pines as you climb up to the alpine lake. Eventually, you will reach the mountain cirque.
Round Lake is situated just off the trail. Revel in the beauty of the crystalline waters and the bounding Sierra Nevada Summits. To get back to the trailhead, simply retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
