Route Description for Whinlatter 3-Fells Circular Walk
Walking the Whinlatter 3-Fells Circular is a great adventure in the Lake District that is popular with fell baggers, casual, and seasoned walkers alike due to the rugged nature of the route and the beautiful views of Bassenthwaite Lake and other nearby peaks. The trail sets out from the Whinlatter Visitor Centre and climbs steeply uphill to visit the summit of Lord’s Seat, before branching off to the northwest to the summit of Broom Fell. After taking in the views of surrounding fells, you will need to retrace your steps back to Lord’s Seat, following the trail to the east to the summit of the pleasantly named Barf. Take some time to appreciate the stunning views of Bassenthwaite Lake before descending the hillside to the south on the return to the visitor centre.
