Route Description for Silver Point Walking Circuit
Walking the Silver Point Circuit is a popular outdoor activity in the Lake District because it provides a good amount of variety in terms of terrain along the route, as well as the chance to take in some breathtaking views of Ullswater and the surrounding Lake District landscape. Setting out from the car park, the route will take you over Goldrill Beck to the east to cross a stretch of open farmland before climbing up the lower slopes of Place Fell. Here, you will continue to the north along the hillside while taking in the amazing views of surrounding fells and the deep blue expanse of Ullswater before you. Upon reaching the northernmost point of the trail, you will descend slightly along the hillside to a lower track near the edge of the lake, following it south through a mixture of open and forested terrain on the return leg of the walk back to the trailhead.
