Route Description for Lonscale Fell and Skiddaw Little Man Walk
Walking to the summit viewpoints atop Lonscale Fell and Skiddaw Little Man is no easy task; however, the stunning views of surrounding mountains and lakes is enough to make this route a memorable experience for casual and seasoned walkers alike. Setting out from the car park, the trail climbs uphill along the lower slopes of Lonscale Fell and crosses over Whit Beck, working around the backside of the mountain to reach the summit. After enjoying some amazing views of the surrounding fells and Derwent Water to the south, you will make your way west toward the summit of Skiddaw Little Man. Here, you will enjoy a sightline over Bassenthwaite Lake, Derwent Water, and Skiddaw to the north, before descending the hillside to return to the car park where you began.
