Route Description for Lingmoor, Side Pike, and Blea Tarn Walk
Walking the Lingmoor, Side Pike, and Blea Tarn Trail is a fantastic excursion that is popular due to the variety of terrain along the short route, as well as the scenic views overlooking the lake and nearby Great Langdale Valley. The trail sets out from the roadside car park and climbs uphill to the rugged summit of Lingmoor Fell for some beautiful views across the valley. From here, you will traverse the ridge while enjoying views of the surrounding fells, eventually arriving at the top of Side Pike. At this point, you will carefully descend the hillside and walk along the calm shores of Blea Tarn before returning to the car park where you began.

To get to the car park for the Lingmoor, Side Pike, and Blea Tarn Walk from Skelwith Bridge, drive to the southwest on A593 for 1.0mi and turn right to continue on for another 0.4mi. Make a left on Side Gates and follow it for 1.9mi, continuing straight for another 0.8mi to find the car park on the right.Route Information
