Walking the Hawes End, Cat Bells, and Derwent Circular is a tough outdoor activity in the Lake District that features some rugged terrain and is popular with a variety of walkers, including casual and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts, as well as families with adventurous children. The trail sets out towards the south and immediately begins climbing uphill along some steep terrain to reach the summit of Cat Bells. After taking in the breathtaking views overlooking Derwent Water, you will descend the hillside to the southeast, before turning north to walk along the edge of the lake. Enjoy some more stunning views across the water and bask in the peaceful lakeside setting, as you wake your way back to the trailhead where you began the walk.
