The Glenridding and Greenside Mine Circular Walk features beautifully scenic views and only a small amount of elevation, making it perfectly suitable as a family-friendly excursion. The trail sets out from the heart of Glenridding and traverses the valley floor to the west, climbing gently uphill along the lower slopes of Glenridding Dodd and Sheffield Pike before crossing over a bridge. After taking in the views of the rugged fells off in the distance to the west, you will continue along the slopes of Birkhouse Moor and make your descent back into Glenridding.
Getting to the Glenridding and Greenside Mine Circular Walk Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for the Glenridding and Greenside Mine Circular Walk from Pooley Bridge, make your way southwest on B5320 for 0.5mi and bear left to get on A592. Follow this for 7.6mi and turn right onto Greenside Road. Continue on for 500ft and turn right to reach the parking area.Route Information
