Route Description for Dunmallard Hill Circular Walk
The Dunmallard Hill Circular Walk is a popular route for families and beginner walkers in the Lake District due to its easy to navigate trails and peaceful woodland setting. The trail sets out from the village of Pooley Bridge and crosses over the River Eamont, providing a few scenic views of Ullswater before entering into the cover of the forest. From here, you will loop around the lower slopes of the hill to reach its backside, at which point you will climb up the hillside to reach the summit. After a quick rest at the top, you will descend the hillside once again on the return of the village.

To reach the trailhead for the Dunmallard Hill Circular Walk from Sockbridge, drive southwest on B5320 for 2.3mi and take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on for another 0.2mi. Make a left here to enter the car park.Route Information
