The Coniston Coppice Caravan Park Loop is a popular walking route for families and campers, due to its easy access from the caravan park, beautiful scenery, and well-maintained trails. The route sets out from the caravan park and heads southwest alongside the road, although there is a small footpath that can be utilized to avoid traffic. From here, the trail turns to the east to cross some open terrain before passing through the tranquil forest on the way to Coniston Water. Follow the trail north along the shores of the lake and enjoy some beautiful views across the water before making your way through the forest on the way back to the trailhead.
