Route Description for Marble Canyon
The Marble Canyon Hike is an easy hike, and should be on any itinerary for visitors to Banff. The route is easy to follow, and has great views of the surrounding mountains as well as Marble Canyon below. This hike is the perfect place to stretch your legs or take the little ones out for a walk on the drive to or from Radium. It should be noted that while there is fencing on most of the hike, you should plan on holding children’s hands on this hike, as the consequences of a fall past the fence could be significant.
The path around Marble Canyon is well constructed, and takes you from one side of Marble Canyon to the other side. Along the way you have stunning views to the Tokkum River below.
As you follow the well-marked trail, take time to appreciate the beauty of the re-growing forest, and your surroundings.
Once you reach the end of the trail, return, and where possible take paths you didn’t take on the way out.
