Route Description for Boy Scout Trail To Willow Hole Extended Route Trail
Sections of the Boy Scout Trail To WIllow Hole Extended Route Trail require slight scrambling, and therefore this route should only be attempted by those who are comfortable doing so. Likewise, the sandy terrain and steep parts make the route physically demanding.
Having made it to the trailhead, follow the Boy Scout Trail west as it makes its way towards the mountainous terrain in the foreground. After a few miles, the incline in elevation will begin to become more steep as the trail takes you through a number of small canyons. The Boy Scout Trail will then veer sharply to the south, declining in elevation as it makes its way through more canyons.
With the canyons behind you, the landscape will open up, and the terrain will become more uniform as you continue south along the trail. After a few more miles, you will reach a junction within the trail. At the junction, take the easternmost route onto Willow Hole Trail. After climbing in elevation once again, the WIllow Hole Trail will bring you all the way to its namesake where beautiful views can be enjoyed. Once you are ready, retrace your steps back towards the trailhead and your waiting vehicle.
