Route Description for Jordan Hot Springs via Casa Vieja Trail
As the Jordan Hot Springs via Casa Vieja Trail is within a more isolated section of Inyo National Forest, care should be taken when attempting. We recommend bringing some sort of mapping tool with you to aid you in your wayfinding throughout the route.
Having arrived at the trailhead, follow the Casa Vieja Trail north as it makes its way over steadily inclining terrain. The route will then veer to the northwest as it makes its way alongside the western base of Doc Peak. After passing Doc Peak, the trail will continue north along Ninemile Creek until it reaches a junction with another creek. At the creek junction, continue to follow Ninemile Creek as it flows from the northwest.
With the majority of the elevation incline completed, you will reach a plateau where you will be able to find some abandoned cabins and the Jordan Hot Springs themselves. Having had an opportunity to explore the area and take a dip in the relaxing hot springs, backtrack your steps towards the trailhead, and your waiting vehicle.
